{"id":79758,"date":"2017-03-15T15:39:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-15T15:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=f46940c38e2f539e74ad8526a7c09443"},"modified":"2017-03-15T15:39:00","modified_gmt":"2017-03-15T15:39:00","slug":"press-release-have-your-say-on-plans-to-dual-and-improve-junctions-on-the-a47","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=79758","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Have your say on plans to dual and improve junctions on the A47"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>It is all part of the Government\u2019s record \u00a315 billion investment in England\u2019s motorways and major A roads, with \u00a33 billion of that being invested in the East of England.<\/p>\n<p>Around Norwich, the \u00a3300 million project on the A47 includes making the road dual carriageway at Easton and North Burlingham, in addition to improving the Thickthorn junction with the A11, and the junctions at Great Yarmouth (on what was previously the A12) to reduce congestion, improve safety and boost the economy.<\/p>\n<p>Around Peterborough, the work also includes making the road dual carriageway between Wansford and Sutton, in addition to improving the junction with the A141 at Guyhirn, to reduce congestion, improve safety and boost the economy.<\/p>\n<p>A Highways England consultation seeking public views on the proposals began on Monday 13 March and runs until 11:59pm on Friday 21 April 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Highways England Senior Responsible Owner for the A47, Philip Davie, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The dualling of several sections of the A47 will make a real difference to all our users on this road, as well as the economy by providing safer, more reliable and less congested journeys<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">There are important decisions to be made, and now we\u2019re keen to get your views on the A47 to help us reach these decisions. I encourage anyone with an interest in the A47 to come along to one of our consultation events and check out the consultation materials online<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>People are invited to attend one of the seven public exhibitions, held at venues along the A47 route between Peterborough and Great Yarmouth, to find out more and take part.
