The aim is to improve patient care.<\/p>\n<p>These technologies should record and integrate cancer patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) and patient reported experience measures (PREMs). This will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>improve experiences of treatment, care, and personal outcomes<\/li>\n<li>explore the clinical and psychosocial impact of new and established cancer treatment<\/li>\n<li>make better use of NHS resources by reducing waste and inefficient practices<\/li>\n<li>speed up the adoption of new technologies into the NHS through efficient evaluation mechanisms<\/li>\n<li>create high value research infrastructure with global reach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This competition has 2 phases. Up to \u00a3125,000 (including VAT) is available for phase 1, and up to \u00a3200,000 (including VAT) for Phase 2:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phase 1: technical feasibility. Projects should last up to 3 months and range in size up to a total cost of \u00a325,000<\/li>\n<li>Phase 2: development and evaluation. Projects should last up to 6 months and range in size up to a total cost of \u00a3100,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"competition-information\">Competition information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>this competition opens on 31 March 2017<\/li>\n<li>you must register before 15 May 2017<\/li>\n<li>you must apply by 29 May 2017<\/li>\n<li>there will be an <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/cancerchallengescotland.com\/events\/information-session-interested-applicants-promsprems-funding-call\">information session for potential applicants<\/a> on 19 April 2017 in Edinburgh (register by 10 April)<\/li>\n<li>organisations can carry out the project on their own or work with others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/sbri-the-small-business-research-initiative\">Small Business Research Initiative<\/a> (SBRI) competition.
