{"id":80669,"date":"2017-04-11T10:02:06","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T10:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=9e407ff345e9dd5d8e6415c65a1765fa"},"modified":"2017-04-11T10:02:06","modified_gmt":"2017-04-11T10:02:06","slug":"news-story-dprte-2017-the-best-and-busiest-yet-for-dit-dso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=80669","title":{"rendered":"News story: DPRTE 2017: the best and busiest yet for DIT DSO"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The 2017 Defence Procurement, Research, Technology and Exportability (<abbr title=\"Defence Procurement, Research, Technology and Exportability\">DPRTE<\/abbr>) conference and exhibition, took place at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff on 28 March.<\/p>\n<p>Department for International Trade Defence and Security Organisation (<abbr title=\"Department for International Trade Defence and Security Organisation\">DIT DSO<\/abbr>) is a main partner in this highly successful annual event.<\/p>\n<p>This event gave <abbr title=\"Department for International Trade Defence and Security Organisation\">DIT DSO<\/abbr> an excellent opportunity to showcase government engagement with UK industry, in support of winning overseas defence and security business.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Department for International Trade Defence and Security Organisation\">DIT DSO<\/abbr> offered advice, information and support from their business growth and exportability knowledge transfer zone, and more hands on support from the adjacent exhibition stand.<\/p>\n<p>The themed presentations, which attracted over 230 delegates throughout the day, focused on export support aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UK <abbr title=\"Small Medium Enterprises\">SMEs<\/abbr>\n<\/li>\n<li>regional marketing advice<\/li>\n<li>military support<\/li>\n<li>the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.defencegrowthpartnership.co.uk\/\">Defence Growth Partnership<\/a> initiative<\/li>\n<li>media engagement and<\/li>\n<li>export licensing regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Department for International Trade Defence and Security Organisation\">DIT DSO<\/abbr> exhibition stand, staffed by members of the <abbr title=\"Department for International Trade Defence and Security Organisation\">DIT DSO<\/abbr> Small Business Unit, Events Team and Military Export Support Team, received a constant stream of enquiries from UK companies.
