{"id":80674,"date":"2017-04-11T12:53:08","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T12:53:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=79923cbb9fb160f691c5fa8e3f14739a"},"modified":"2017-04-11T12:53:08","modified_gmt":"2017-04-11T12:53:08","slug":"news-story-philip-rycroft-takes-up-role-as-second-permanent-secretary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=80674","title":{"rendered":"News story: Philip Rycroft takes up role as Second Permanent Secretary"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Philip Rycroft has taken up his role as Second Permanent Secretary at the Department for Exiting the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>He joins <abbr title=\"Department for Exiting the European Union\">DExEU<\/abbr> to take responsibility for managing the department\u2019s overall policy and legislative agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining <abbr title=\"Department for Exiting the European Union\">DExEU<\/abbr>, he served as Second Permanent Secretary, Head of <abbr title=\"United Kingdom\">UK<\/abbr> Governance Group in the Cabinet Office, with responsibility for constitutional and devolution issues. He will retain some aspects of this role with respect to the Devolved Administrations.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on his new responsibilities, Philip said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">By working across Cabinet Office and <abbr title=\"Department for Exiting the European Union\">DExEU<\/abbr>, this role will aid in the coordination of the constitutional and devolution issues involved in the process of exiting the <abbr title=\"European Union\">EU<\/abbr>. I am really pleased to be able to continue to work with the <abbr title=\"United Kingdom\">UK<\/abbr> Governance Group in Cabinet Office.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">From 2012 to 2015 he was the Director General in the Deputy Prime Minister\u2019s Office, supporting the Deputy Prime Minister across the full range of his policy interests.
