{"id":81140,"date":"2017-05-05T08:45:17","date_gmt":"2017-05-05T08:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=9a68879a06b4d0d5d5f1f329438de3ea"},"modified":"2017-05-05T08:45:17","modified_gmt":"2017-05-05T08:45:17","slug":"news-story-invitation-to-an-iiac-meeting-on-6-july-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=81140","title":{"rendered":"News story: Invitation to an IIAC meeting on 6 July 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The aim of the meeting is to give members of the public, their representatives, and people with a professional interest in occupational diseases, the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the council\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be at:<\/p>\n<div class=\"address\">\n<div class=\"adr org fn\">\n<p>Manchester Conference Centre &amp; Pendulum Hotel<br \/>\n<br \/>Weston Building<br \/>\n<br \/>Sackville Street<br \/>\n<br \/>Manchester<br \/>\n<br \/>M1 3BB<br \/>\n\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The meeting will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an explanation of the council\u2019s role in making recommendations to ministers about the industrial injuries scheme<\/li>\n<li>a discussion about the council\u2019s work in the past year<\/li>\n<li>an opportunity to contribute views and ideas on the council\u2019s future work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The council welcomes any questions in advance of the meeting, where they will respond.<\/p>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p>Reserve a place or ask your questions by Thursday 22 June 2017 at \u2013<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:iiac@dwp.gsi.gov.uk\">iiac@dwp.gsi.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>It may not be possible to accept all applications if the number of requests is higher than expected.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"about-iiac\">About <abbr title=\"Industrial Injuries Advisory Council\">IIAC<\/abbr><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p>The Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (<abbr title=\"Industrial Injuries Advisory Council\">IIAC<\/abbr>) provides advice to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and the Department for Communities in Northern Ireland on matters relating to the industrial injuries scheme.
