They had been taking measurements, and moved out of the path of the train and reached a position of safety beside the line about two seconds before the train passed, travelling at about 73 mph (117 km\/h).<\/p>\n<p>We have undertaken a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/raibs-response-to-accident-and-incident-notification#preliminary-examination\">preliminary examination<\/a> into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
