{"id":81917,"date":"2017-06-26T13:07:27","date_gmt":"2017-06-26T13:07:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=e3b8463fc75d37dc04f121f60841c6b5"},"modified":"2017-06-26T13:07:27","modified_gmt":"2017-06-26T13:07:27","slug":"press-release-catapult-subsidiary-acquisition-welcomed-by-innovate-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=81917","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Catapult subsidiary acquisition welcomed by Innovate UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The acquisition of Catapult Therapy TCR Ltd by <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/cellmedica.com\/\">Cell Medica<\/a> will support the further development and commercialisation of promising cancer immunotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>Catapult Therapy TCR Ltd is a joint venture company set up by the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/ct.catapult.org.uk\/\">Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult<\/a>, <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uclb.com\/\">UCL Business<\/a> and <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imperialinnovations.co.uk\/\">Imperial Innovations<\/a>. It focuses on the development of a gene-modified WT1 TCR T cell therapy, to develop treatments for blood cancers and solid tumours, such as acute myeloid leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>The work is being funded from a grant by Innovate UK.<\/p>\n<p>Ian Campbell, Director &#8211; Health and Life Science, Innovate UK, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Along with our Catapult network, the mission of Innovate UK is to embrace innovation to meet the societal challenges of tomorrow and drive economic growth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The spin out of Catapult Therapy TCR Ltd and its acquisition by Cell Medica shows how we can commercialise this vital technology.
