{"id":82394,"date":"2017-07-10T10:44:00","date_gmt":"2017-07-10T10:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=26c3723cce6777ff6135f73f55348f13"},"modified":"2017-07-10T10:44:00","modified_gmt":"2017-07-10T10:44:00","slug":"press-release-north-east-men-fined-for-illegal-fishing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=82394","title":{"rendered":"Press release: North East men fined for illegal fishing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Environment Agency is reminding anglers of the importance of having a rod licence after two men were fined for fishing illegally in separate offences.<\/p>\n<p>They were caught during targeted patrols on the River Derwent in Gateshead by Environment Agency Fisheries Enforcement Officers<\/p>\n<p>On 28 March this year, Kyle Taylor-Allen, 30, of The Crescent, Dunston, Gateshead, was found coarse fishing at Swalwell without a licence.<\/p>\n<p>He was also fishing during the close season, which is prohibited, and using illegal bait.<br \/>\nHe was fined a total of \u00a3770, ordered to pay costs of \u00a3127 and a victim surcharge or \u00a330.<\/p>\n<p>On 13 April this year, Peter Blackett, 53, of Waterbeach Place, Newcastle, was found fishing without a licence at Rowlands Gill.<\/p>\n<p>He was also fishing during close season, using an illegal bait and he had taken and killed a fish while fishing without the landowner\u2019s permission, an offence under the Theft Act.
