{"id":82556,"date":"2017-07-14T10:25:33","date_gmt":"2017-07-14T10:25:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=8999dd112e75e1746390f90a2a7751e5"},"modified":"2017-07-14T10:25:33","modified_gmt":"2017-07-14T10:25:33","slug":"news-story-new-deal-to-help-schools-save-cash-on-computer-equipment-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=82556","title":{"rendered":"News story: New deal to help schools save cash on computer equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p><abbr title=\"Department for Education\">DfE<\/abbr>  and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/crown-commercial-service\">Crown Commercial Service<\/a> (<abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr>) will launch the second in a series of bulk buying deals (sometimes referred to as \u2018aggregated deals\u2019) for schools considering buying new tablets, laptops or desktop devices at the beginning of the autumn term.<\/p>\n<p>One hundred schools took up the previous deal, buying over 2,000 devices. Some schools saved thousands of pounds, with average savings of 8%.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> will publish full details of the deal on 4 September 2017. Schools will then have until 29 September 2017 to send <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> their equipment requirements.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> will work with suppliers to get the best prices and notify schools after they award the contract on 6 November 2017. Schools will then be able to place their orders for delivery and arrange payment at the agreed price.<\/p>\n<p>We currently plan that the tablet devices will be branded products \u2013 for example, Apple iPad.
