{"id":82800,"date":"2017-07-20T16:24:40","date_gmt":"2017-07-20T16:24:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=a9b508707caeee3071252d654e51445a"},"modified":"2017-07-20T16:24:40","modified_gmt":"2017-07-20T16:24:40","slug":"news-story-improving-crowd-resilience-apply-now-for-innovation-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=82800","title":{"rendered":"News story: Improving crowd resilience: apply now for innovation funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/home-office\">Home Office<\/a> is to invest up to \u00a32 million in ideas that will reduce the threat from terrorists and the use of explosives and weapons in public spaces by using the crowd as a sensor.<\/p>\n<p>Funding is available for the development of technologies that will use the crowd to identify a threat by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>detecting the crowd\u2019s conscious and sub-conscious reaction to threats<\/li>\n<li>training the public to spot threats<\/li>\n<li>enabling the crowd to report threats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This competition seeks proposals for technologies, systems and behavioural sciences.<\/p>\n<p>This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/defence-and-security-accelerator\">Defence and Security Accelerator<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/sbri-the-small-business-research-initiative\">Small Business Research Initiative<\/a> (SBRI) competition.
