Easy Access institutions promote new ways of sharing intellectual property (<abbr title=\"intellectual property\">IP<\/abbr>) to make it easier for researchers and industry to work together.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> now has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/easy-access-intellectual-property#current-dstl-technologies-available-for-licence-under-easy-access-ip\">15 technologies available for licence through the Easy Access <abbr title=\"intellectual property\">IP<\/abbr> scheme<\/a> including an animal training system, an innovative respirator concept, a helmet with air vents and a blunt impact head injury model.<\/p>\n<p>The new technologies added to the portfolio are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/647800\/Easy_Access_IP_factsheet_Body_armour_with_weight_transferred_to_a_belt.pdf\">A new jacket and belt concept to ease the burden of body-armour<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/647801\/Easy_Access_IP_factsheet_Verifying_movement_of_an_object.pdf\">A system to verify the speed of a target object<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/647799\/Easy_Access_IP_factsheet_An_inflatable_structure.pdf\">An inflatable structure using two layers to provide a rigid, planar support for various possible uses<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technologies available through Easy Access <abbr title=\"intellectual property\">IP<\/abbr> are usually considered to be at low technical readiness for commercialisation. For <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> the scheme provides a mechanism to release low technical readiness technology to those who may be able to develop it further.
