{"id":85032,"date":"2017-10-04T15:11:06","date_gmt":"2017-10-04T15:11:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=94368824514e5158d0b3c1dfaf7f0e28"},"modified":"2017-10-04T15:11:06","modified_gmt":"2017-10-04T15:11:06","slug":"news-story-innovative-female-entrepreneurs-7-selected-for-us-mission-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=85032","title":{"rendered":"News story: Innovative female entrepreneurs: 7 selected for US mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Next week (10 to 15 October 2017) the 7 female entrepreneurs will travel to Boston, Massachusetts on an international entrepreneurial mission, hosted by Innovate UK, <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcatapultcentre.org.uk\/\">Digital Catapult<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/world\/organisations\/british-consulate-general-boston\">British Consulate General Boston<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The mission will help the women better understand and access international markets. It coincides with <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/hubweek.org\/\">HUBweek 2017<\/a>, the city\u2019s festival for the future where artists, innovators and creators come together to support collaboration for innovation.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"meet-the-founders\">Meet the founders<\/h2>\n<p>All of the companies selected are innovating in human and machine interaction, such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things and virtual and augmented reality.<\/p>\n<p>The female founders are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Claire Spencer, CEO of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.datasolver.co.uk\/\">Data Solver<\/a>, which provides privacy-by-design management software that will help businesses comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)<\/li>\n<li>Kriti Sharma, CEO of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.withlumi.com\/\">Lumi<\/a>, which is a virtual business assistant that uses AI to help users manage admin, finance, HR and IT tasks<\/li>\n<li>Louise Doherty, CEO of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.plansnap.com\/\">PlanSnap<\/a>, a social planning app that allows users to create and invite people to opt into your plan, regardless of whether or not they are on the app<\/li>\n<li>Nicole Blyth, Founder of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.relocateguru.io\/\">RelocateGuru<\/a>, which is designed to help the nearly 1 billion people who relocate to a new town or country every year to find friends and get local tips, advice and recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Christine Boyle, CEO of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.senergyinnovations.co.uk\/\">Senergy<\/a>, which has developed the world\u2019s first nanocomposite solar thermal panels. These can be manufactured and installed at 50% lower cost than existing metallic solar collectors<\/li>\n<li>Samrien Hussain, Director of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ticktockunlock.com\/\">Tick Tock Unlock<\/a>, an immersive entertainment company that designs, builds and operates escape game venues. Future plans include supplying virtual reality experiences to other venues and launching a free-roaming product<\/li>\n<li>Diane Douglas, CEO of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vigilesgroup.com\/\">Vigiles<\/a> is developing augmented and merged reality gamified mobile apps to improve health and safety awareness. Its first product is a fire safety app for young people in student accommodation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The businesses were chosen by a panel of judges.
