{"id":85095,"date":"2017-10-06T11:29:08","date_gmt":"2017-10-06T11:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=261ee7d0695b67041f05f77993feb269"},"modified":"2017-10-06T11:29:08","modified_gmt":"2017-10-06T11:29:08","slug":"government-response-cancer-research-uks-campaign-about-the-early-diagnosis-workforce-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=85095","title":{"rendered":"Government response: Cancer Research UK\u2019s campaign about the Early Diagnosis Workforce"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>In September, Cancer Research UK (CRUK) started <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cancerresearchuk.org\/support-us\/campaign-for-us\/early-diagnosis-workforce\">a campaign<\/a> urging the government to train and employ more NHS diagnostic staff.<\/p>\n<p>This is the government\u2019s response:<\/p>\n<p>Cancer is a priority for this government and survival rates are at a record high, with 7,000 more people surviving cancer compared to 3 years ago. This is thanks to great efforts to diagnose cancer earlier and the incredible care cancer staff provide patients day in and day out.<\/p>\n<p>The government knows it needs to get the right staff in place. This is why Health Education England will publish a comprehensive cancer workforce plan by the end of the year.
