{"id":85882,"date":"2017-10-31T09:30:10","date_gmt":"2017-10-31T09:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=4f8fc1e68367c2cbe58822a5dd16aeed"},"modified":"2017-10-31T09:30:10","modified_gmt":"2017-10-31T09:30:10","slug":"news-story-using-augmented-reality-to-boost-tourism-apply-for-contracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=85882","title":{"rendered":"News story: Using augmented reality to boost tourism: apply for contracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ireland.com\/en-gb\/\">Tourism Northern Ireland<\/a> working with the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.communities-ni.gov.uk\/\">Department for Communities<\/a>, <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcatapultcentre.org.uk\/local-centre\/northern-ireland\/\">Digital Catapult Northern Ireland<\/a> and <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/matrixni.org\/\">Matrix<\/a> (Northern Ireland Science Industry Panel) has up to \u00a370,000 to invest in projects that test how augmented reality can improve the way tourists experience the country.<\/p>\n<p>Augmented reality technologies add a digital layer to a real-life situation to entertain or to give additional information that improves a user\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n<p>This competition is seeking ways for the technology to be applied to tourist experiences in Northern Ireland.
