{"id":86171,"date":"2017-11-09T12:17:22","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T12:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=c7fdf66ca942c2b8903aa020ab706fec"},"modified":"2017-11-09T12:17:22","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T12:17:22","slug":"news-story-civil-news-launch-of-electronic-escape-case-claim1-forms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=86171","title":{"rendered":"News story: Civil news: launch of electronic escape case claim1 forms"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>We have developed electronic versions of the EC Claim1 forms for providers to use when submitting escape case claims for controlled work matters.<\/p>\n<p>These forms are web based and:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>make the completion and submission process simpler and quicker<\/li>\n<li>reduce the chances of the form being rejected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"does-this-affect-processing-of-work\">Does this affect processing of work?<\/h3>\n<p>There are no changes to the way this category of work is processed. The electronic forms provide a more efficient way to submit the claim, which providers should find more convenient.<\/p>\n<p>Although no changes to the assessment process are being made the current Word based versions of the form will eventually be withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p>Using digital escape case claim forms will then be mandatory for submitting your claims for controlled work.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"important-to-learn-new-process\">Important to learn new process<\/h3>\n<p>We recommend that providers begin to familiarise themselves with the process for submitting digital claims before the paper option is withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p>There are separate electronic claim EC Claim1 forms for these escape case categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>civil<\/li>\n<li>mental health<\/li>\n<li>immigration and asylum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once the form is completed providers should use the submit button so that the form can be assessed. You can find a link to the new forms below.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"submitting-your-case-file\">Submitting your case file<\/h3>\n<p>Paper case files should be submitted to the usual escape cases postal address.<\/p>\n<p>The assessment will be completed and results issued to you in the same format as at<br \/>\npresent.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic case files should be placed in a secure cloud based system and details of how to access the account included in the relevant section of the electronic EC Claim1.<\/p>\n<p>Assessment of the claim will then be completed without the need for a paper case file.
