{"id":86437,"date":"2017-11-16T15:59:49","date_gmt":"2017-11-16T15:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=6ab5ad9526091c6734ed14f8c387bd18"},"modified":"2017-11-16T15:59:49","modified_gmt":"2017-11-16T15:59:49","slug":"news-story-reappointment-to-the-school-teachers-review-body","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=86437","title":{"rendered":"News story: Reappointment to the School Teachers\u2019 Review Body"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Ken Clark has been reappointed as a member of the School Teachers\u2019 Review Body (<abbr title=\"School Teachers\u2019 Review Body\">STRB<\/abbr>) for a second 3-year term to end in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"School Teachers\u2019 Review Body\">STRB<\/abbr> provides independent advice to the government on pay and conditions for teachers and school leaders in England and Wales.<\/p>\n<p>This reappointment has been made in line with the Governance Code on Public Appointments and was made by the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"biography\">Biography<\/h2>\n<p>Ken Clark is a labour economist based at the University of Manchester where he is also Director of Teaching and Learning in the School of Social Sciences and a member of the <abbr title=\"Economic and Social Research Council\">ESRC<\/abbr> Centre on the Dynamics of Ethnicity. He is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labour Studies, Bonn.
