{"id":86849,"date":"2017-11-30T11:09:47","date_gmt":"2017-11-30T11:09:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=57ed97a11fb7d69cc9cb6bc40d0796f6"},"modified":"2017-11-30T11:09:47","modified_gmt":"2017-11-30T11:09:47","slug":"press-release-defence-science-and-technology-laboratory-appoints-new-chief-executive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=86849","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Defence Science and Technology Laboratory appoints new Chief Executive"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Gary has spent his career in the development and supply of mission-critical wireless communications solutions to public safety, industrial and transportation sectors.<\/p>\n<p>He has previously held senior global positions at Sepura and at Motorola Solutions, where he had commercial responsibility for sales, services, operations and product management.<\/p>\n<p>As <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s Chief Executive, Gary will lead an organisation of over 3,800 scientists and engineers providing specialist, and in many cases world-leading expertise, across a wide-range of disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of his arrival, Gary said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">I am excited to begin a new challenge at <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>, in an organisation that provides such essential skills, knowledge and capabilities in support of the defence, security and prosperity of the UK.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/people\/david-pepper\">Sir David Pepper<\/a>, Chairman of <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">I am delighted to welcome Gary to <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>.  He brings a wealth of experience in research and development and in organisational transformation that will be invaluable as <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> moves into the next phase of its development.  I am looking forward to working with him as he takes on his leadership role.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gary will formally take up post on 1 January 2018.
