{"id":87914,"date":"2018-01-11T13:58:34","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T13:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=dc2854d5e80f3ad9b9ef4106008df0cf"},"modified":"2018-01-11T13:58:34","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T13:58:34","slug":"press-release-ukef-extends-support-for-uk-exports-to-over-60-currencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=87914","title":{"rendered":"Press release: UKEF extends support for UK exports to over 60 currencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Overseas buyers of UK exports can now access UK government-backed finance in 62 pre-approved local currencies, Minister for Investment Graham Stuart MP announced today.<\/p>\n<p>The support is available through UK Export Finance (<abbr title=\"UK Export Finance\">UKEF<\/abbr>), the UK\u2019s export credit agency, and will help UK exporters compete for major overseas contracts, by allowing overseas buyers to access long-term finance in their local currency when they buy from the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Graham Stuart MP said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">By giving UK exporters the flexibility to offer government-backed finance to their international customers in the currency of their choice, we are increasing the appeal of sourcing from the UK.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">This world-leading offer from UK Export Finance gives buyers all over the world \u2013 from Bulgaria to Vietnam \u2013 the ability to \u2018buy British, pay local.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The announcement builds on the expansion of <abbr title=\"UK Export Finance\">UKEF<\/abbr>\u2019s local currency offering to 43 currencies in the Autumn Statement 2016, compared to fewer than 15 available in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Being able to access long-term finance is particularly beneficial for overseas buyers whose revenue and accounts are in their local currency, thereby helping to increase the competitiveness of a UK exporter\u2019s offering.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"UK Export Finance\">UKEF<\/abbr> can now offer pre-approved local currency financing in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bulgarian Lev<\/li>\n<li>Colombian Peso*<\/li>\n<li>Croatian Kuna*<\/li>\n<li>Dominican Peso*<\/li>\n<li>Ghanaian Cedi*<\/li>\n<li>Jordanian Dinar*<\/li>\n<li>Kazakhstani Tenge*<\/li>\n<li>Mongolian Togrog*<\/li>\n<li>Moroccan Dirham*<\/li>\n<li>Nigerian Naira<\/li>\n<li>Pakistani Rupee*<\/li>\n<li>Panamanian Balboa<\/li>\n<li>Philippine Peso<\/li>\n<li>Romanian Leu<\/li>\n<li>Serbian Dinar*<\/li>\n<li>Sri Lankan Rupee*<\/li>\n<li>New Taiwan Dollar<\/li>\n<li>Trinidad &amp;
