{"id":88392,"date":"2018-01-26T09:52:09","date_gmt":"2018-01-26T09:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=c3fd3a4a27f4d012280fdca7d596d4d7"},"modified":"2018-01-26T09:52:09","modified_gmt":"2018-01-26T09:52:09","slug":"news-story-sellafield-joins-northern-powerhouse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=88392","title":{"rendered":"News story: Sellafield joins Northern Powerhouse"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The company was confirmed as an official partner by Northern Powerhouse Minister Jake Berry yesterday.<br \/>\nMr Berry made the announcement at the Cumbria Day event in the House of Commons.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Powerhouse is designed to drive economic growth in the north via investments in skills, innovation, transport and culture.<\/p>\n<p>Cumbria Day was organised by Cumbria\u2019s MPs and the county\u2019s Local Enterprise Partnership, to showcase Cumbria\u2019s businesses and produce to Parliamentarians.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Reed, head of community and development for Sellafield Ltd, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We\u2019re delighted to become official partners of the Northern Powerhouse.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s fantastic to be announcing this on Cumbria Day, as Parliamentarians get to see first-hand the unlimited potential of our fabulous county.<\/p>\n<p>Sellafield has long been a powerhouse in its own right.
