{"id":88625,"date":"2018-02-02T14:33:41","date_gmt":"2018-02-02T14:33:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=e533f5c1802bf4afe4a2d14e8475b1a3"},"modified":"2018-02-02T14:33:41","modified_gmt":"2018-02-02T14:33:41","slug":"news-story-south-west-has-the-potential-to-become-the-uks-start-up-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=88625","title":{"rendered":"News story: South West has the potential to become the UK&#8217;s start-up hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Technology firms developing driverless car technology and 5G mobile networks are among the companies helping to make the South West one of Britain\u2019s start up hubs, according to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury Elizabeth Truss.<\/p>\n<p>Latest figures show the economy in the South West is now worth more than \u00a3127 billion and is the second fastest growing economy of UK nations and regions with year-on-year growth of more than 4%.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting fast growing, high tech firms including Ultrahaptics in Bristol the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Elizabeth Truss, will say:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Technology firms, like the ones I am meeting today in Bristol, help power Britain\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The government is giving enterprise the freedom it needs to succeed. From Cornwall to Christchurch, The South West is buzzing with ambition and attracting interest and investment from around the world.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Chief Secretary is visiting Ultrahaptics and tour its facilities.
