{"id":89231,"date":"2018-02-21T16:37:26","date_gmt":"2018-02-21T16:37:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=7674e87e5fb7683fd2b8559b63559608"},"modified":"2018-02-21T16:37:26","modified_gmt":"2018-02-21T16:37:26","slug":"news-story-crime-news-updated-prison-law-guidance-following-scope-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=89231","title":{"rendered":"News story: Crime news: updated prison law guidance following scope changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Four categories of prison law work are being brought into scope on 21 February 2018 through amendments to the 2017 Standard Crime contract.<\/p>\n<p>These are the areas affected:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pre-tariff review hearings and other advice cases for life and other indeterminate sentence prisoners before the Parole Board<\/li>\n<li>Category A prisoner reviews<\/li>\n<li>Directions as to a prisoner\u2019s placement in a close supervision centre of a prison<\/li>\n<li>Directions as to a prisoner\u2019s placement in a separation centre within a prison<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Details of contract amendments and associated training materials can be found on the Standard Crime Contract 2017 page on GOV.UK.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"updated-forms-and-guidance\">Updated forms and guidance<\/h3>\n<p>The updated forms include the CRM3 application for advocacy assistance and the CRM18a escape case claim form.<\/p>\n<p>There is also an updated version of the Criminal Bills Assessment Manual, as well as the Contracted Work and Administration (CWA) Code Guidance.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"transitional-arrangements\">Transitional arrangements<\/h3>\n<p>We would like the new forms and guidance to be used immediately.
