It aims to support innovative ideas across the life sciences sector, to make ideas from research and academia a reality.<\/p>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/innovate-uk-health-and-life-sciences\">Find out more about how Innovate UK supports innovation in health and life sciences.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"support-is-available-across-disciplines\">Support is available across disciplines<\/h2>\n<p>Funding support is available in any sector or discipline including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stratified healthcare<\/li>\n<li>advanced therapies, such as gene and cell therapies<\/li>\n<li>diagnostics<\/li>\n<li>medical technologies and devices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Projects should develop innovative healthcare products, technologies and processes. This could include projects that aim to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>prevent disease or manage chronic health conditions<\/li>\n<li>detect or diagnose disease earlier<\/li>\n<li>provide tailored treatments that change the underlying disease or offer cures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are 2 funding competitions being run. These are for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>feasibility studies to explore and evaluate the commercial potential of early-stage ideas. Up to \u00a32 million is available<\/li>\n<li>early-stage projects to create sufficient data to support later testing of products in a clinical or other relevant setting.
