{"id":91943,"date":"2018-05-16T12:54:59","date_gmt":"2018-05-16T12:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=881022486fb89878aaf4a05f2c2b2dab"},"modified":"2018-05-16T12:54:59","modified_gmt":"2018-05-16T12:54:59","slug":"news-story-crime-news-simplifying-crm14-eforms-and-crm4-grant-letters-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=91943","title":{"rendered":"News story: Crime news: simplifying CRM14 eForms and CRM4 grant letters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Changes are being made to make it easier to apply and bill for criminal legal aid work to reduce the number of rejected applications.<\/p>\n<p>The improvements will be live on 1 June 2018 and affect:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>CRM14 eForm applications<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>CRM4 grant letters<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"crm14-eform-changes\">CRM14 eForm changes<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Help buttons and guidance notes added to help providers see the information required before financial assessments can be carried out.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>New fields to allow providers to explain client\u2019s circumstances in more detail, e.g. when the client\u2019s outgoings exceed their income.<\/li>\n<li>Additional tick boxes added to help explain why a client may not be declaring any income e.g. \u201cliving with parents\u201d, \u201cliving on the streets\u201d and \u201csupported by friends\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"crm4-grant-letter-changes\">CRM4 grant letter changes<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Updated letter will show both the amounts applied for and the amounts granted. This will give the provider a full breakdown of the granted preparation and travel costs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Decisions will be fully explained and if a reduced sum is being paid then reasons will be provided.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A POCA tick box will be added for providers to indicate if their case relates to a Proceeds of Crime Act case.
