Scope limitation<\/h3>\n<p>Scope limitations are set out on the legal aid certificate and describe the work that can be carried out under the certificate.<\/p>\n<p>If the scope limitation you choose is incomplete or unclear this will delay your application.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency legal aid certificates only cover urgent work. You need to add a more appropriate scope limitation when applying for the substantive certificate.<\/p>\n<p>The following quick guides will help you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>\u2018making a legal aid application\u2019 \u2013 see section 7 which explains how you can use a \u2018free text box\u2019 to put in extra information about work you need funding to cover<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\u2018amending an emergency to a substantive\u2019 \u2013 this shows you how to make the necessary changes to scope limitations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"document-uploads\">2. Document uploads<\/h3>\n<p>Our \u2018submitting electronic evidence\u2019 quick guide has been updated to clarify what you need to do if the document upload button is greyed out. If this happens, you need to change your user access rights.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"domestic-violence-evidence\">3.
