{"id":92208,"date":"2018-05-23T11:58:27","date_gmt":"2018-05-23T11:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=b64b7a9298c86a6f629f0b0faaeabac0"},"modified":"2018-05-23T11:58:27","modified_gmt":"2018-05-23T11:58:27","slug":"news-story-civil-news-use-revised-privacy-notice-for-ccms-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=92208","title":{"rendered":"News story: Civil news: use revised privacy notice for CCMS applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>We\u2019re advising providers to take note of the relevant revised privacy notice when making new applications in the Client and Cost Management System (CCMS).<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"what-are-privacy-notices\">What are privacy notices?<\/h3>\n<p>These set out the standards your clients can expect from the Legal Aid Agency in a number of areas concerning personal data.<\/p>\n<p>This includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>our requests for personal data and the way it is managed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>how to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>what to do if your client thinks standards are not being met<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"what-does-this-mean-in-ccms\">What does this mean in CCMS?<\/h3>\n<p>The revised privacy notice will not be integrated into CCMS until June.<\/p>\n<p>Until this happens you should refer to the privacy notice available for download on the supporting guidance page for civil legal aid application forms.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"why-is-this-happening-now\">Why is this happening now?<\/h3>\n<p>A number of privacy notices are being amended as part of a comprehensive review which is taking place of our processes and systems.<\/p>\n<p>New notices will be implemented on our application forms and eForms, with CCMS following during June.<\/p>\n<p>This is in response to the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"what-is-the-purpose-of-gdpr\">What is the purpose of GDPR?<\/h3>\n<p>GDPR legislation aims to harmonise data privacy laws across the European Union.
