{"id":92209,"date":"2018-05-23T11:30:07","date_gmt":"2018-05-23T11:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=16dcad74dcf88a955220c79917a9c038"},"modified":"2018-05-23T11:30:07","modified_gmt":"2018-05-23T11:30:07","slug":"news-story-develop-future-aircraft-technologies-apply-for-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=92209","title":{"rendered":"News story: Develop future aircraft technologies: apply for funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/\">Aerospace Technology Institute<\/a> (ATI), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-business-energy-and-industrial-strategy\">Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy<\/a> and Innovate UK are inviting organisations to come forward with innovative aerospace projects that could attract funding support.<\/p>\n<p>The invitation is under the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/funding\/ati-programme\/\">UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme<\/a>. This is a \u00a33.9 billion joint government and industry investment in projects that will make the UK more competitive in civil aerospace.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses and researchers can submit expressions of interest in carrying out innovative projects. The best ideas  will be invited to apply for funding support.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"projects-must-support-aerospace-strategy\">Projects must support aerospace strategy<\/h2>\n<p>We are seeking projects that are align with the UK\u2019s <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/funding\/our-strategy\/\">aerospace technology strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Priority areas include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>strengthening the UK\u2019s whole-aircraft design and system integration capability and positioning it for future generations of civil aircraft<\/li>\n<li>the development of smart, connected and more electric aircraft<\/li>\n<li>ensuring the UK is a global leader in the development of large complex structures, particularly wings<\/li>\n<li>advancing a new generation of more efficient propulsion technologies, particularly large turbofans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/funding\/our-strategy\/\">Find out more about the ATI and the strategy.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"competition-information\">Competition information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>the competition opens for expressions of interest on 4 June 2018, and the deadline for submissions is 20 June 2018<\/li>\n<li>successful applicants will be invited to make a full funding application.
