{"id":93175,"date":"2018-06-25T11:37:37","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T11:37:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=31b99d84442d4dca8554e0e89dab540f"},"modified":"2018-06-25T11:37:37","modified_gmt":"2018-06-25T11:37:37","slug":"news-story-25-million-boost-for-self-driving-technology-apply-for-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=93175","title":{"rendered":"News story: \u00a325 million boost for self-driving technology: apply for funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/driverless-vehicles-connected-and-autonomous-technologies\">Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles<\/a> (CCAV) has up to \u00a325 million to invest in up to 4 pilot schemes for self-driving vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Funding is for pilots of self-driving passenger vehicles which include at least a 6-month trial in a public or semi-controlled setting. Trials should have a clear commercial focus, with potential to become an enduring service.<\/p>\n<p>CCAV was set up by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-business-energy-and-industrial-strategy\">Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-transport\">Department for Transport<\/a> to help ensure the UK is a world leader in developing and testing connected and autonomous vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>It is investing \u00a3150 million, match-funded by industry over 5 years, into cutting edge technologies.
