{"id":94487,"date":"2018-08-01T11:30:01","date_gmt":"2018-08-01T11:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=de08387c6fd8d1553f777a7b5ea1aa2c"},"modified":"2018-08-01T11:30:01","modified_gmt":"2018-08-01T11:30:01","slug":"news-story-game-changing-technologies-for-aerospace-apply-for-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=94487","title":{"rendered":"News story: Game-changing technologies for aerospace: apply for funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/\">The Aerospace Technology Institute<\/a> (ATI), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-business-energy-and-industrial-strategy\">Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy<\/a> and Innovate UK are inviting organisations to come forward with game-changing ideas in civil aerospace.<\/p>\n<p>This is done through the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/funding\/uk-aerospace-rt-programme\/\">UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme<\/a>, a \u00a33.9 billion joint government and industry investment in projects that will make the UK more competitive in civil aerospace.<\/p>\n<p>There is around \u00a3150 million available each year to support the best ideas. This is one of a series of regular calls for projects.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses and researchers can put forward expressions of interest to carry out innovative projects. The best ideas will be invited to apply for funding.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ideas-must-deliver-uk-aerospace-strategy\">Ideas must deliver UK aerospace strategy<\/h2>\n<p>We are looking for projects that help the UK to meet its technology strategy for aerospace.<\/p>\n<p>Priority areas include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>strengthening the UK\u2019s whole-aircraft design and system integration capability for future generations of civil aircraft<\/li>\n<li>developing smart, connected and more electric aircraft<\/li>\n<li>ensuring the UK is a global leader in large complex structures, particularly wings<\/li>\n<li>advancing more efficient propulsion technologies, particularly large turbofans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ati.org.uk\/funding\/our-strategy\/\">Find out more about the ATI and the strategy.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"competition-information\">Competition information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>the competition opens for expressions of interest on 6 August 2018, and the deadline is midday on 22 August 2018<\/li>\n<li>successful applicants will be invited to make a full funding application.
