{"id":96131,"date":"2018-09-28T10:08:33","date_gmt":"2018-09-28T10:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=8cb38dbfcc73660a9a9594e5705db01a"},"modified":"2018-09-28T10:08:33","modified_gmt":"2018-09-28T10:08:33","slug":"news-story-new-competition-stopping-it-in-its-tracks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=96131","title":{"rendered":"News story: New competition: stopping it in its tracks"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>This new Defence and Security Accelerator (<abbr title=\"Defence and Security Accelerator\">DASA<\/abbr>) competition is seeking novel approaches to stopping or impeding tanks and other heavy armoured vehicles on the battlefield while minimising collateral damage.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Defence and Security Accelerator\">DASA<\/abbr> welcomes proposals relating to physical barriers or effects (such as traps and rapid ways to build them) as well as invisible barriers or effects (including electromagnetic and other non-explosive technologies).<\/p>\n<p>Systems for defence utility and with potential security applications, including those for urban deployment, are also welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Up to \u00a31 million of funding is available in Phase 1 of this competition to fund proof-of-concept solutions.
