{"id":97317,"date":"2018-11-07T09:28:13","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T09:28:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=7c56e4d19f9872635d0cd9efdde9e05e"},"modified":"2018-11-07T09:28:13","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T09:28:13","slug":"news-story-committee-on-radioactive-waste-management-visit-to-sizewell-b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=97317","title":{"rendered":"News story: Committee on Radioactive Waste Management visit to Sizewell B"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (<abbr title=\"Committee on Radioactive Waste Management\">CoRWM<\/abbr>) visited the UK\u2019s only operating Pressurised Water Reactor (<abbr title=\"Pressurised Water Reactor\">PWR<\/abbr>), <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edfenergy.com\/energy\/power-stations\/sizewell-b\">Sizewell B<\/a>, on 5 October 2018. The facility is operated by EDF Energy.<\/p>\n<p>Officials from EDF Energy provided an introductory presentation to the <abbr title=\"Committee on Radioactive Waste Management\">CoRWM<\/abbr> which included a high-level overview of waste management practices at the site, with a particular emphasis on safety. The Committee was impressed by the experience and commitment of the staff, and the high safety standards at the site.<\/p>\n<p>The EDF Energy officials gave the Committee an excellent tour of the facility.
