Audit regulations for UK and Ireland 2020

In September 2018 the Irish Companies Act 2018 passed into law. The amendments in the act have given greater powers to IAASA and placed some additional responsibilities on audit firms. The resulting changes to the Audit Regulations mean that from 1 January 2020, firms that wish to be registered for audit in Ireland will need to opt in and demonstrate eligibility.
