What?
Setting up and managing precast factory.
How?
- Assigned by the board to get the precast factory up and running with in 2 months.
- Together with my 2 fellow directors planned out major milestones.
- Created MS project programme identifying individual tasks.
- Maintained record of progress in MS project and monitored progress against milestones.
- Instigated full report on plant, facility and gantry crane.
- Commissioned all necessary remedial and site preparatory work and delegated management to the production director.
- From personal networking received lead re concrete (Lafarge, London Concrete, Euro Mix) and steel suppliers.
- Carried out all contract negotiations and ensured best possible price given our credit limitations.
- Designed and implemented factory ERP system to carry out MRP, Ordering, Receipts, Quality control, Manufacture, Report, Deliver to site and monitoring.
- Setup a fully functional IT system with server PC, laptop, copier-fax-scanmailer, router and smartphones.
- Designed, documented and implemented fully factory process to ensure MRP, requisition, ordering, delivery, flow test (to ensure right density), cube retention (for lab testing), casting, caging of steel work, setting up moulds, concrete pouring, de-moulding, loading, quality control and pick confirm are 100% standardised.
- Carried out ad-hoc weekly QC and internal control compliance audit.
- Designed and implemented panel tracking system linking site with the factory.
- Received hand-on assistance from Elcon System in all technical matters and in recruitment of factory labour and manager.
- Trained factory manager on all processes and systems.
- All tasks completed within set deadline.

Trading activity – Manufacturing of Spaceover modules
What?
Setting up modular factory for Spaceover South Chase project.
How?
- Assigned by the board to provide procurement and system support.
- Met head of operation and gone through his programme in detail.
- Met Spaceover directors and quality team and obtained a copy of their product manual.
- Reviewed the above in details and prepared a ERP system recommendation and agreed with head of operation.
- Designed and implemented ERP system to control inventory, production cost, BOM, reporting production, MRP, requisition and ordering.
- Setup a fully functional IT system with server PC, laptop, copier-fax-scanmailer, router and smartphones.
- Setup Spaceover sign-off and QA process.
