The UK and Cyprus enjoy a warm and productive bilateral relationship. This was the first formal ministerial meeting with President Anastasiades’ new government. The Minister for Europe expressed the UK’s support to tackling the economic crisis and in renewing efforts for a Cyprus settlement. The Ministers also discussed continuing to work together on EU issues, and how to encourage transition in Syria.
