News story: Be Clear on Cancer campaign findings

Public Health England, in partnership with the Department of Health and NHS England have released the results of the Be Clear on Cancer national lung campaign that ran in 2012.

The campaign was designed to:

  • raise public awareness on cancer symptoms
  • encourage people to see their doctor
  • help catch cancer at early stages

Results show that during the campaign period an extra 700 diagnoses were made, with 300 of those people receiving potentially curative treatment.
