Commenting on the bomb attack today in Beirut’s southern suburbs, Foreign Office Minister Hugh Robertson said:

I strongly condemn today’s bombing in the southern suburb of Beirut. My thoughts are with the families of those killed and injured in this atrocity and with the people of Lebanon at this difficult time.
The UK Government is already providing security assistance and is fully committed to supporting the future stability of Lebanon.
