Press release: Change of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea

He will succeed Mr Graham Styles, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Brownbill will take up his appointment during April 2014.

Mr Brownbill joined the FCO in 1979 and has previously served as Consul-General in Ho Chi Minh City and Her Majesty’s Ambassador in Managua. He is currently working in the Estates and Security Directorate in the FCO in London.

On his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, Mr Brownbill has said:

I’m very much looking forward to returning to West Africa and the privilege of being Ambassador to Guinea. It’s an exciting time for Guinea and I look forward to being able to contribute to achieving our shared political and commercial objectives, particularly by encouraging further British investment in Guinea.
