Some applicants and organisations have been telling us that they would like to use the update service but they missed the opportunity to join. Some of you didn’t join at the earliest opportunity with your application form reference and you’ve waited for your certificate to arrive, you’ve then found that the 14 day window is too short.

We’ve listened to your feedback. We’ve made changes to our system to extend this window to 19 calendar days from the date of issue which is printed on the certificate.

We hope this makes the process easier and lets more of you take advantage of being able to take your certificate from role to role where the same level and type of check is needed.
