On 4 March 2015, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced that from 1 April 2016 it will only accept ATOL related accountants’ reports on ATOL holders from designated ATOL Reporting Accountants (ARAs). ARAs will be designated by their professional accountancy body and they will be expected to demonstrate they have sufficient competence and expertise to provide effective ATOL reporting.
