Public Health England’s (PHE) has published its spend and outcome tool (SPOT): local authorities today (27 August 2014). SPOT gives local authorities in England an overview of spend and outcomes across key areas of business and for public health and its sub-programmes.

SPOT includes a large number of measures of spend and outcomes from several different frameworks. Similar organisations can be compared using a range of benchmarks.

The tool is an interactive spreadsheet that allows you to explore the data in detail. You can also download a pdf factsheet for each local authority that has the information from the tool.
