News story: Illegal animal medicines: prosecution of Mr Ronald Meddes

On 4 September 2014 at Croydon Crown Court, Mr Ronald Meddes was ordered to make a payment of £39,353.68 within 6 months under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Failure to pay will result in a default prison sentence of 14 months.

Mr Meddes was previously sentenced to 28 months imprisonment after admitting illegal importation and supply of veterinary medicines under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
