Transport networks are becoming congested and over-crowded across the UK, causing problems for commuters and businesses.

If you work in transport or a related sector, your business could win grant funding to develop new or improved products, processes or services that integrate existing transport networks and infrastructures.

Innovate UK is investing up to £9 million in a competition to find collaborative R&D projects that will deliver accessible, cost-effective and easy-to-use services for transport users.

This is a two-stage competition that opens on 12 January 2015.

We expect projects to last up to 2 years and for total costs to range between £2 million and £4 million per project.

A briefing event for potential applicants will be held in London on 20 January 2015.
