The work, starting on the night of Tuesday, 3 February, will take place along approximately a three and a half mile stretch of the motorway. It will be carried out at night between 8.00pm and 6.00am and will require various lane closures. The work will be completed by the end of March.

This work will ensure this section of the M5 remains safe and reliable for drivers for many years to come.

In addition to the surfacing we will be taking the opportunity to carry out drainage maintenance on the hard shoulder.

Every effort has been made to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum by scheduling the works at night and we are not expecting any delays for road users.

To ensure the safety of both the travelling public and our workforce, lane closures overnight will be necessary and some daytime lane closures may also be needed when the old surfacing has been removed.
