Press release: Foreign Secretary’s Easter message 2015

This item was filled under Housing

The Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said:

Easter holds a message of hope for all Christians. It means many things to Christian communities around the world and is celebrated in different ways.

My hope is that all those facing discrimination, persecution and violence because of their faith – particularly in the Middle East, the cradle of Christianity – have a peaceful Easter. Freedom of religion or belief is a fundamental human right that everyone in the world should be able to enjoy.
