He will call on South Korean President Park Geun-hye, hold a second round of strategic talks with Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se, and meet the South Korean ministers for finance and defence procurement.

The Foreign Secretary will also visit the Demilitarised Zone and Gloster Hill Memorial Park, on the site of the 1951 Battle of the Injin River, to pay his respects to the British servicemen who lost their lives during the Korean War.

Mr Hammond said:

I am visiting South Korea at a time when UK-Korea relations are strong. This will be an opportunity to build on my previous strategic dialogue talks with Foreign Minister Yun and to take stock of how we are working together on global security challenges and the future prosperity of both our countries.
