Speaking today Mr Ellwood said:

I am deeply concerned by recent violent clashes and heightened tensions at Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount which have resulted in a number of injuries.

We condemn all acts of violence and urge all parties to work together to restore calm, avoid provocations and support the status quo.
