News story: Nick Gibb publishes essay on education policy

On Thursday 17 September 2015, Schools Minister Nick Gibb introduced a lecture from American academic and author ED Hirsch at the second Policy Exchange Annual Lecture on Education.

ED Hirsch is the leading exponent of the importance of a knowledge-based curriculum, and has been an important influence on the government’s reform of qualifications and the curriculum.

A short collection of essays, published to coincide with the lecture, includes a contribution from Nick Gibb entitled ‘How ED Hirsch Came to Shape UK Government Policy’. Read the essay on the Policy Exchange website.
