This item was filled under Housing

Contractors from Highways England will be resurfacing parts of the eastbound and westbound entry slip roads from the A1036 Tadcaster Road to the A64, and installing new areas of high friction surfacing.

Highways England project manager Sujad Hussain said:

When complete, this project will provide drivers with smoother and safer journeys along the slip roads from the A1036 to the A64.

The work will be carried out overnight when traffic levels are at their lowest to keep disruption to a minimum.

During the work, lane 1 on the A1036 eastbound from the traffic lights at the junction with the A64 to Sim Balk Lane will be closed overnight, along with the eastbound and westbound entry slip roads from the A1036 to the A64.
Clearly signed diversions will be in place, and the project is due to be completed by Friday 16 October.
