News story: Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) research project: foreign born nurses in the NHS

This item was filled under Housing

The MAC has been asked to undertake a review to assess whether there is a nationwide shortage of nurses in the UK and whether this shortage could be alleviated by adding nurses to the shortage occupation list.

To provide further evidence to shape the MAC’s recommendations, the MAC wishes to commission a piece of research analysing the factors affecting the demand for and the supply of foreign born nurses in the NHS and related public sector healthcare organisations.

Interested parties can apply for an invitation to tender (ITT) to carry out this piece of research.
