Great news – the window for applying to join the Civil Service Fast Stream will now stay open until 30 November 2015.

This will give applicants even greater opportunity to apply to the 11 corporate schemes.
The window for applying to the 4 analytical schemes closed on 30 September 2015, although a second window will open in the new year.

Gillian Smith, Head of the Civil Service Fast Stream, said:

This is the first year we’ve given candidates the opportunity to apply for so many Fast Stream schemes. Applicants have told us that they’re enjoying the increased choice of exciting career options, some of which they hadn’t previously considered.

The extended application window will give applicants extra time to make those choices.

Additional Fast Stream events, including university visits, lecture series and skills sessions, have been arranged. This will ensure we reach potential applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds, and will give people the opportunity to talk through their choices and hear about the experiences of fast streamers first hand.

The Civil Service’s graduate development programme offers talented graduates an accelerated route to leadership within the Civil Service. It aims to have the UK’s best and brightest graduates in leadership roles within 3 to 5 years.

The Civil Service Fast Stream is widely recognised as one of the best graduate schemes in the country, ranked fifth in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers in 2014-2015.
