The theme of the 2015 AoC conference was Powering the Economy – focusing on the government’s aim to sustain the recovery and build productivity and the important role that further education has in achieving this.

On the second day of the conference, Keith Smith, Executive, Director of Funding and Programmes from the Skills Funding Agency, and Peter Mucklow, Director, Young People from the Education Funding Agency, hosted a session with AoC’s Julian Gravatt entitled “Everything you need to know about current college funding issues.”

The session explored how the funding systems are currently working, what is known about changes in the pipeline for 2016 and beyond and gave the audience the opportunity to ask questions on topical issues.
